Possess over 35 years of experience in HRM/General Administration, of which a few years in Logistics in the private sector (including a few blue chips and multinationals). A lecturer for graduate and postgraduate degrees (including MBA) in a few universities and a few professional institutions (including CIPM) for the last 30 years. Have supervised research (Dissertations/Thesis), conducted public seminars and workshops. Speciality in HRM & OB. Have conducted numerous training programmes mainly in HR and OB and OBT/EBT. Have presented papers at local & overseas symposiums, workshops, and seminars.
A Graduate in Arts Subjects: Economics, Translation methods (English/ Sinhala) & French from the University of Kelaniya. Possess an MBA from the University of Colombo and the NDPM (National Diploma in Personnel Management) from IPM-Sri Lanka. Completed Lead Auditor Course for ISO 9000 (quality management system) series and ISO 14000 (Environmental Management System) conducted by SGS–UK. Passed SA 8000 Basic Auditor Course conducted by RINA, India.
A fellow of CIPM and a member of SLITAD (Sri Lanka Institute of Training & Development). A life member of OPA (Organization of Professional Associations).
Held the positions of Council Member for quite a number of years and a few years as Assistant Secretary of IPM.
Currently working as a Freelance Consultant in Human Resources Management and IR matters on my own and in collaboration with SLIDA and CIPM – Sri Lanka. And also, a lecturer at CIPM – Sri Lanka
Married with three grown up and well educated/employed sons. Wife is a housewife. Lives in Maharagama located in the precincts of Colombo.
